About

Ken Smith - Musician - Composer - Guitarist - Keyboard Player - Tv and film music writer.

Ken started playing guitar at an early age, played in a few bands and even turned up to at least three guitar lessons. On leaving school he studied mechanical engineering, and worked for a large engineering company. But before long the desire to produce music took over and he went full time into running KSM studios in Edinburgh. This experience of working with a diverse range of musicians laid the foundation for writing his own instrumental music. After a move to the North East of England, Ken split his time between his day job of teaching design with writing music for TV and Film. Some great placements included “Nina and the Neurons” on Cbeebies, “Eurotrash” and the long running series “Machos”. More recently Ken has concentrated on writing guitar and piano music which is released on Spotify and other streaming platforms. Having now left the day job, Ken’s time is spent creating new releases for streaming platforms and other media. The response from listeners and followers has been truly amazing.
